In this HANDS-ON workshop, you'll create a stunning floral arrangement while discovering the rich tapestry of global spring traditions. The featured flowers include tulips, hyacinths, marigolds, forsythia, daffodils, and roses, each representing a unique cultural perspective on the spring season and its connection to universal themes of renewal. Sheena will guide you through each step of the floral design process. • Flower Care and Preparation: Learn the essential steps to properly condition your flowers for longevity and beauty. • Hard Goods and Oasis Preparation: We'll demonstrate how to prepare your arrangement for floral arranging. Learn how to properly insert florals into the foam and maintain its integrity for a long-lasting arrangement. • Floral Design Principles and Techniques: This section will cover fundamental design principles such as balance, proportion, color harmony, and creating a focal point. • Hands-on: Participants will create their own arrangements with step-by-step guidance. The goal of this DIY workshop is to equip you with the skills and knowledge to be able to create your own arrangements at home. Information about where to obtain florals, hardgoods and tools will be provided. All materials (florals, vessels, oasis, and tools) are provided. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels. Please note: Flowers are a natural product and may vary slightly in color, size, and shape from any example photos. In the event that a specific flower is unavailable, a suitable substitution of equal or greater value will be used.
