FREE yourself from the tyranny of sad supermarket veggies! JUMP-START YOUR GARDEN EDUCATION and learn how to grow healthy plants, deal with plant pests and diseases, banish weeds, and feel rewarded for your efforts. You choose the plants YOU want to grow. You grow them in YOUR yard. We’ll share our gardening questions, triumphs, and mishaps in bi-weekly Zoom meetings starting in mid-March 2025. Each week, we’ll cover a new topic such as: • Soil - how to evaluate and improve your garden soil • Choosing the best plant varieties. Understanding plant tags and seed packets • Watering plants - how to keep it simple • Weeding 101 - never be overwhelmed again • Fertilizer and pest control basics • Plant pollination • Composting 101 • Tips and tricks for simplifying your garden tasks • Q&A with Tisa and fellow gardeners Once a month, we’ll meet in-person for a community-building POTLUCK and a visit to the gardens at CGS! See planting techniques, composting, pest control methods, and much more. Plus – delicious POTLUCK! Please pre-REGISTER for this program so we can send you the Zoom link, handouts, and other updates. (This is a new program for us, so please bear with us as we iron out any wrinkles.) Our first Zoom meeting is Sun. March 16. Join anytime. YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Tisa Watts is the owner of the Columbus Garden School. She has a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design and 20+ years of professional experience as a gardener and speaker. Expert guest instructors are invited to contact CGS if they wish to moderate a gardening topic. MONTHLY POTLUCK LOCATION: Located on 2 acres at 1350 E.
